Richard W. Rosen
State Senate District 31

Richard, a businessman and native of  Bucksport, is a first term Senator in Senate District 31. He and his wife Kimberley have two children, Rachael and David. Richard graduated from the University of Maine and operates his family's 93-year-old retail clothing store, Rosen's in Bucksport. In 2002, he was the recipient of the Maine Merchants Maine Retailer of the year award.

The House committees on which he serves are Appropriations and Financial Affairs, Joint Select Committee on Joint Rules and Elections. He also holds memberships on Maine's Commission on Performance Budgeting and The Maine Economic Growth Council. From 1998-2000 he served as a member of the Utilities and Energy Committee as Maine implemented the electric industry restructuring legislation. He is President of the Board of the Northeast Historic Film, an organization dedicated to the development of a moving image archive and study center located in the Alamo Theater building in Bucksport.
