
Kerry A. Sullivan has worked in the special education field for the
past five years and currently works at Mount Desert Elementary School
in Northeast Harbor. She is a graduate of Ellsworth High School, Class
of 1997, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She received
her B.A. in History at the University of Southern Maine in 2001, where
she participated in track and field and served as Vice President of
the History Students Association. Kerry is a parishioner of St. Joseph’s
Catholic Church and is an active member of the St. Joseph’s Women’s
Council.
Kerry first got involved in politics when she moved back to her hometown
of Surry and volunteered for the Bush/Cheney ‘04 Campaign. She
was elected Secretary of the Hancock County Republican Committee shortly
thereafter. After starting up the first Young Republican Club in Maine,
Kerry led an effort to get Maine chartered with the Young Republican
National Federation and currently serves as Secretary of the Maine Federation
of Young Republicans. She is a member of the YRNF Membership Committee
and serves as chair of the MFYR Membership Committee.
